Into digital photography, or video? You came to the right place. This is a site for any & all to enjoy and/or contribute something - to learn a bit, and link into or from. Welcome aboard!
.biz
If you have a site, want a site, need help with developement, this isn't the ultimate answer, but will help shed light on a few things. With so much busting loose on the net with video, we'll be showing what can be done - for free! So hang around and take advantage. And if you're impressed, pass the word!
Let's start first by doing a little something with digital photography. I use the WebEasyPro7 for building my sites. Curser over photo, this is the 'Rollover Image Assistant' used here. Just one of the cool features this software has.
All my websites, and everyone else's, funding thru ads, helps.
On iHandy1.com or
VideoDump.biz any friends out there are welcome to place ads & URLs. FREE!
Their's a lot of free stuff here, take all you want!
This is what it's all about. If you've got a site that seems right to be posted & linked to - from here, and any of mine also listed on yours, It's Win Win, Just let me know. Thanks!
With only a video camcorder, fire wire cable, and Windows Movie Maker we'll show you how to put video on your site for nada. It's not rocket surgery, just requires a bit of patience & getting comfortable with how things work. Got to much money? You can do this more expensively if you choose.
The thumbnails are made by holding down control key while you drag and drop the image. Click on any one & you get full size view.
One picture's worth a thousand words. Using WebEasyPro7 this is even snappier than previous versions, I've used versions 5 and 6. I have no HTML experience, but with simple use of commands, you really don't have to learn to write any codes, other than WYSIWYG "What You See Is What You Get"
Scroll over photo on right, then watch video on left to get an idea of how this text message appears. Note: This is from a previous version of this site...
Here's a short video showing the Windows Movie Maker and how to whip up a short flick. I don't have the most cutting edge computer and have learned to not run huge programs such as the WebEasy site builder at the same time. So leave your site building software off until you've got the video file complete, then save. You'll get the picture quick once you start. Next step is to upload to YouTube, or where ever you chose. I've taken the code they provide, and pasted it into a box as an 'oject event'
I see more video stuff out there all the time. With computers constantly improving in speed and abilities, naturally, video would have to gain in popularity, right? Soon after publishing my 1st site, I started experimenting with installing video. My first attempt worked! I just did what I was doing with photos and blamo!
And putting a clip into WindowsMovieMaker is really simple, once you figure it out. If you've never made a video out of your digital files, I would first say open up the MovieMaker and practice. Test out with real short things until you feel ready to go for the gold. Play around with the Titles, Transitions, Credits, learn to edit, add & delete.
You'll find some simularity in different site builders. Both in ability and price. Just as with photo editors, I've checked & worked with a lot of them. Even bought Adobe Photoshop - and it is powerful. It does seem everything does a lot more than I need it to. If you're at step one and want to not spend anything, search nVu.
Creating a site is a lot more involved with your computer than you think. Here's the scoop, after you work for some time loading in various files & build a page, don't mess with those file locations. Reason is: the next time you open up your site builder, the'll be missing. Not from your computer, but from the already built site page. So leave things where they are!
Just a guy with long time interest in photography and 8mm home movies. First regular 8 I bought was Kodak Brownie Fun Saver. "No Batteries Required" - just make sure to crank between shots. At the age of 20, bought a Super8! I had arrived. 4AA batteries in the pistol grip, zoom lens, look out!
About the author:
Putting audio files on your site can be good or bad. It is gaining popularity but to open up with a tune that might not be a good idea. People are catagorized by the music they like or dislike. One site I frequent does this and I hit 'Mute' before their page loads.
This is the 'Kaypro 2x my first really powerful machine! Two disk drives, 390k each!
